Founded by Deirdre Ryan in 2007, D K Ryan & Co Solicitors is a progressive law firm based in Roscrea, County Tipperary, dedicated to providing high-quality legal services with a personal touch. With years of experience in the legal profession, Deirdre established the firm with a clear vision: to offer accessible, client-centered legal support that addresses the unique needs of individuals and businesses alike.

Meet the team
Valerie
Valerie joined our firm as a Senior Solicitor, bringing with her a wealth of experience from leading practices across the Midlands. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Laws from the University of Cardiff and degrees in English, Sociology and Politics from the University of Galway.
A calm presence with sharp insight, Valerie guides clients with both skill and empathy.
When she’s not immersed in work, she’s likely catching up with friends or enjoying some quiet time with a good book.
Eugene
Eugene is a longstanding member of our team who dedicates his time and effort to all things D.K. Ryan & Co. He’s the friendly voice on the other end of the line whenever you call.
From phone calls to paperwork, all things administrative seem to find their way across Eugene’s desk

Sommer
Sommer came to our office as an ambitious Transition Year student from Colaiste Phobal Roscrea. We are delighted that she has rejoined the team. She graduated from SETU with a Bachelor of Laws with a first class honours degree and is currently undertaking her FE1 exams to become a Solicitor.
When she’s not studying or helping clients, you’ll probably find her in a mountain of files.
She swears she's getting faster at finding her way out!
Deirdre Giles
Deirdre Giles is our debt recovery expert and has been a vital part of the firm since its formative years. With her extensive experience and unmatched determination, there’s truly nothing she can’t handle. Deirdre is a well-oiled machine when it comes to debt collection and client relations, known for her efficiency, precision, and no-nonsense approach
Her dedication to achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients has earned her a reputation as one of the most reliable professionals in the field. Outside of her work, Deirdre’s attention to detail and drive for excellence continue to shine in everything she does.
When she’s not streamlining recovery processes or working her magic on tough cases, she’s the one keeping us all on track.
Deirdre Ryan
Deirdre Ryan is the owner and principal solicitor of the firm. She began her professional life as a teacher before following her ambition to pursue law, qualifying as a solicitor in 2005. A graduate of the University of Galway, where she earned both an Honours BA and an Honours Bachelor of Laws, as well as a Higher Diploma in Education from Maynooth University.
Deirdre combines a teacher’s patience with a solicitor’s precision. Her dedication to clients and her commitment to excellence have guided the firm since its inception.
When she’s not advising clients or steering the team, she’s likely planning her next challenge, because slowing down has never really been her style.
Ella
Meet Ela, the real boss of the office (though she lets the solicitors think they’re in charge). With her big heart and even bigger paws, she’s the first to greet clients and the last to leave a biscuit behind.
When she’s not supervising meetings, or napping through them, you’ll find her patrolling the halls, ensuring everyone gets their daily dose of tail wags and smiles. Her negotiation skills are unmatched, especially when treats are on the table.
Ela takes her role seriously: boosting morale, maintaining paw-sitive energy, and reminding us all that sometimes the best legal advice comes with a wag and a woof.
Mex
Is the founder & developer of Nexus Development, the software company behind our new website. While not part of our in-house team, Mex works closely with us to keep our online presence running smoothly.
When he’s not coding or fine-tuning websites, he’s usually off thinking up new designs for the next one.
He insists it still counts as “research” even when it just looks like daydreaming!
